Description

Discover historic Kamakura, where a Great Buddha statue stands. Hasedera Temple is a must-see too, before you head to Enoshima Island to see a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji in the distance.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Check In/Pickup Location Details

  • Please check-in at least 10 minutes prior to your departure time. Give yourself enough time to arrive at the check-in location.
    Direction to Keio plaza hotel:
    A 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit, reachable via the JR Lines or subway, or a 1-minute walk from Tochomae Station Exit B1 on the Toei Oedo Line.
    Direction to Hamamatsucho bus terminal:
    A 1-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station (JR Line or Tokyo Monorail) or Daimon Station (Toei Asakusa Line or Toei Oedo Line). Take the 2nd floor concourse stairs to the 1st floor annex building of the world trade center.

Restrictions

  • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well. If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.

Additional Notes

  • Vegetarian meals are available and must be requested at the time of booking. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted.
  • Locations indicated on the itinerary may be changed due to closed days, inclement weather, events, or traffic conditions. However, the tour will not be cancelled or refunded even in such cases. The following are possible substitutes: Hase-dera Temple, Engaku-ji Temple, Kencho-ji Temple, Kamakuragu Treasure Hall, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, or Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine Treasure Hall.
  • If there are more than 15 participants, the guide may hand out earphone guides in order to guide everyone more efficiently. A fee of JPY 10,000 may be incurred if an earphone guide is lost or damaged.
  • The Escar will be taken up at Enoshima, but customers will be taking the stairs back down. For those who have difficulty walking, please wait at the Benzaiten Nakamise Street. Please note that refunds will not be issued for such reasons.
  • The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
  • During the peak summer season (July and August), the tour will not stop at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine due to expected congestion in Kamakura. Refunds will not be issued.

Dressing & Items to Bring

  • It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the lunch venue to Hase-dera Temple (about 20 minutes round trip). Please participate in shoes which are easy to walk in. Also, refunds will not be issued even in case Hase-dera Temple is not visited.

Green Tea Experience at Jomyo-ji Temple
Enjoy a cup of green tea at the historic tea house and take in the sights of the Zen garden.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine
Designated as an important cultural property, visit one of the most historical shrines of Japan. Take a stroll through the path leading to the shrine and explore the massive shrine grounds surrounded by a lush green forest.

Kotokuin Temple and the Great Buddha
View the huge serene Buddha, the symbol of Kamakura. Unlike the Great Buddha of Nara, this Buddha is placed directly outdoors, and the inside of the statue can be accessed for a small additional fee.

Hasedera Temple
Known to be the temple of flowers, enjoy the view of the seasonal blossoms and the adorable Jizo Buddha statues.

Enoshima
Soak up the view of Enoshima's beautiful coastline. On a clear day, you'll be able to see Mt. Fuji along the beautiful landscape. The Escar will be taken going up Enoshima, but you will be taking the stairs back down. For those who have difficulty walking, you will be asked to wait.
